The workshop will include:

- Explanation of the 16th notes

- Explanation of the ghost notes

- Exercises to familiarize with 16ths and ghost notes

- Examples of musical genres with 16ths and ghost notes

This workshop will cover topics such as melody, chords, improvisation, and an approach to ensembles

12:30-1:45 pm: Matthew Quilliam

Ukulele Tone and Wellness

A workshop in two halves, both designed to ensure you are practicing in a way that is efficient and constructive and also in a way that is not damaging to your physical health. First, participants will be encouraged to consider their tone by paying close attention to their left and right-hand techniques, before expanding to the wider body to focus on posture, warming up, and healthy amounts of time to play.
