Every summer the organization hosts the Festival of Arts fine art show which has gained international prestige and produces its most famous attraction, the Pageant of the Masters that for the last eighty years has combined the worlds of theatrical illusion and artistry.

Schedule:
1:00pm - 2:30pm: The Eric Marienthal All-Stars - Concerts on the Green - $40
After graduating high school in Southern California in 1976, Eric went on to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. There he studied with the legendary saxophone professor, Joe Viola. By the time he left Berklee, Eric had achieved the highest proficiency rating given by the school. In 1995, Eric was awarded the Berklee Distinguished Alumnus Award for outstanding achievements in contemporary music. He has since gone on to perform in over 75 different countries, recorded 14 solo CD’s and has played on hundreds of records, films, television shows and commercial jingles.

Eric started his professional career in 1980 with famed New Orleans trumpeter Al Hirt. After returning to Los Angeles Eric became a member of the Chick Corea Elektric Band. He recorded 6 CD’s with Chick Corea band and won 2 Grammy Awards. Eric went on to perform with artists such as Elton John, Barbara Streisand, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Aaron Neville, Johnny Mathis, Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour, George Duke, David Benoit, The Rippingtons, The Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band, Patti Austin, Lou Rawls, David Lee Roth, The Yellowjackets, B.B. King, Ramsey Louis, Patti Labelle, Olivia Newton-John, and many others.

5:30pm - 7:00pm: Josie James featuring Marlon Martinez and The Marlonius Jazz Orchestra $20
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Grammy nominated singer Josie James is equally at home on the concert stage or in the recording studio with a track record that has been praised by many. She sings a wide variety of music influenced by R&B, gospel, pop and jazz. Jazz funk/fusion fans remember Josie James (“talk to me quick!”) as the lead vocalist of the original George Duke Band and sang on most of George’s albums including Duke’s last release Dreamweaver.

Since embarking on a career in the music world as a singer, Josie has recorded and/or toured with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and The Jacksons, Whitney Houston, Earth Wind and Fire, Philip Bailey, Phil Collins, Billy Ocean, Jeffrey Osborne, Quincy Jones, Patrice Rushen, David Foster, Ray Parker Jr., Howard Hewitt, Elvis Costello, George Michael, Ronald Isley, Burt Bacharach, and jazz icons Joe Sample, The Crusaders, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Clarke, Earl Klugh, Al Jarreau, and many others.
