About the Event
After saying farewell to our 'Voices of Amelia' exhibit, the Amelia Island Museum of History is excited to unveil our latest temporary exhibit—'Fernandina and Nassau County: The Ties That Bind', in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Fernandina Beach and Nassau County.
Step back in time to the late 1800s, when the whistle of steam engines heralded a new era for Florida. Guest speaker John Hendricks, President of the West Nassau Historical Society, will take you on a historical journey, revealing how the pioneering railroad—the first to span Florida from east to west—transformed Nassau County and beyond.
Be among the first to experience this exciting new exhibit! Join us on September 20, at 6pm.
Attendance is free for members and a suggested donation of $5 for nonmembers. Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. This program is wheelchair accessible.
