Compete in a scavenger hunt race where you will look for six different tokens hidden at Sumner Peck Ranch (located just north of the River Center at 14439 N Friant Rd). All clues are family friendly, so everyone will be part of the action! This is a shorter course scavenger hunt appropriate for all ages but may include up to 1.5 miles of walking.

Upon arriving at Sumner Peck Ranch your lead docent will greet participating groups in the main parking lot, explain the scavenger hunt rules and provide a map of the property with clues to each location. At 1:00 you and your family will set off on your hunt. The map will mark the general areas where each box of tokens can be found. Each mark will include a hint that will help you locate what you are looking for. After you have found all six boxes you will report to the glass building near the parking lot; the first group to finish will win a 2-hour canoe rental redeemable at Sycamore Island in Madera (all equipment included, a $30 value).

Each $20 registration is for one family group of up to six participants. Event will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete and may include up to 1.5 miles of walking. No vehicle use is permitted during the scavenger hunt; terrain is dirt trails with some small inclines. Advanced registration is required. Please note: clues are designed to be child-friendly as this scavenger hunt is intended for families.Full refunds provided for cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to the event date.
