The biggest threat to the independence of an older adult is a simple slip and fall. However, falls are not the inevitable result of aging and many falls can be prevented. This online presentation will review fall statistics, strategies and techniques to elevate safety, along with resources for falls prevention, Q&A, and a short breathing/meditative exercise. Sponsored in partnership with City of Boulder, Older Adult Services, Age Well Center.
Instructor: Joan DePuy, RN, BSN, is the Trauma Outreach/Injury Prevention Coordinator for BCH with 37 years of nursing experience and Certified Reiki Master Level Practitioner.
