On the Outer Banks, water defines our world- it sustains us physically, economically, spiritually and both soothes and excites our souls.
Dare County Arts Council invites everyone to contribute art and artifacts that reflect their experience and impressions of the water around us. This includes the role of water in sustaining life of both humans and other species, as a source of recreation and sport, as a key economic food industry, as an environmental factor greatly influencing our weather, and as a source of artistic inspiration. None of us can escape the influence of water on our lives on the Outer Banks, and this exhibit is a challenge to reflect that influence in as many different ways as possible.
Works submitted to this exhibit will all be priced between $99 and $150 to attract as wide of an audience as possible. Proceeds will fund educational arts experiences throughout our county.
