This juried exhibition will focus on how photography can be pushed to its fullest potential. Submitted works do not have to be purely photography but can be mixed media. A photographic element must be present for the work to be considered.
About the Juror:
Robin Assner-Alvey is a practicing artist working with photography, video, and installation. Born in Boston, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Connecticut (2000) and her Master of Fine Arts from the Ohio State University (2002). Her work examines corporality and asks viewers to consider the experience of living in their own skin. Robin’s most recent solo exhibition was Embodied at the Bruce Gallery at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in January 2019. Her art has been exhibited in various solo and group shows throughout the US.
Robin is a Professor of Art in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Art at Webster University. She just completed her 17th year at Webster, where she teaches all levels of photography and video.
