A new exhibit featuring rare Smithsonian artifacts from Apollo 11 - Opens April 13, 2019.

Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission comes to The Museum of Flight. Relive humankind’s most historic achievement during its 50th anniversary year.

Destination Moon makes its only West Coast appearance from April 13 to September 2, 2019. The 50th anniversary of the moon landing is July 20, 2019. This special exhibition features the Apollo 11 command module Columbia, the only portion of the historic spacecraft to complete the first mission to land men on the moon and safely return them to earth, as well as more than 20 one-of-a-kind artifacts from the Apollo Program.

Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission is organized by the National Air and Space Museum and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. The exhibition is made possible by the support of Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos, Joe Clark, Bruce R. McCaw Family Foundation, the Charles and Lisa Simonyi Fund for Arts and Sciences, John and Susann Norton, and Gregory D. and Jennifer Walston Johnson. Transportation services for Destination Moon are provided by FedEx.
