Los Angeles-based artist, performer, and costume designer Cathy Cooper presents a new series of works that oscillate between sculpture and costume. Cooper seeks to expose the inherent energy found in the textures and colors of inanimate fabrics and materials. Through layering, pairing, recombining, and repurposing her materials, Cooper creates dynamic forms that exude a range of movement and emotions.
