Documentary Film Screening: Stonewall Uprising

Friday, Jun 28, 2019 at 7:00pm

CALS Ron Robinson Theater
100 River Market Ave
Little Rock, AR 72201

When police raided the Stonewall Inn, a popular gay bar in the Greenwich Village section of New York City on June 28, 1969, the street erupted into violent protests that lasted for the next six days. The Stonewall riots, as they came to be known, marked a major turning point in the modern gay civil rights movement in the United States and around the world. We commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and what followed with a screening of the PBS American Masters documentary Stonewall Uprising. Presented by CALS and AETN/PBS.
