This educational session will provide the definition, inner workings of diabetes in the body, and treatment options for diabetes.  This session will introduce the criteria used to diagnose diabetes and how to evaluate and monitor his/her health, especially regarding the use of blood glucose results.  It also provides an opportunity to identify how lifestyle choices impact diabetes self-management.

These classes should be taken in order (as much as possible) and you must have an assessment appointment with an educator before attending a group class.
