Aroostook County is steeped in ballooning history. In 1978, the Double Eagle II launched from Presque Isle and made the first successful crossing of the Atlantic. In 1984, Joe Kittinger became the first person to make the solo Transatlantic balloon journey, launching from Caribou. In 2013 Jonathan Trappe launched his attempted trans-Atlantic balloon flight using 365 individual helium balloons and established a world record for distance, when he landed in Newfoundland.

7:00am - 10:00am: Pilot and Crew Breakfast - Enjoy Breakfast and meet the pilots.
8:00am: Citywide Yard Sale - No registrations, no maps, just folks having a yard sale
11:00am - 9:00pm: Craft Fair and Vendors Open - Enjoy the food, shop for homemade items, and pick up a keepsake from the festival.
1:00pm - 4:00pm: Fun on the Field - Inflatables, Carnival Style Games, Walk Through Balloon, Children’s Muster, Touch-A-Truck, and more. Event is free
2:30pm - 4:00pm: Pilot Meet and Greet - Meet the men and women who take to the skies and ask them your burning questions.
4:30pm - 7:30pm: Live Music - Low Talker On the stage behind the Forestry Building
5:00pm: Tickets for Tethered Ride, Go On Sale - First Come, First Served.
5:30pm: Mass Ascension - Balloon flights are weather dependent
6:30pm: Tethered Balloon Rides - A great chance to get a small taste of riding high in the sky. Lineup begins at 6pm
7:30pm - 9:00pm: Karaoke - On the stage behind the Forestry Building
7:45pm - 9:45pm: Movie - Dumbo (2019)
Dusk: Moon Glow - View the beauty of hot air balloons glowing in the dark
