New York City’s first and only all-female mariachi group, Grammy Award-winning ensemble Flor de Toloache, is pushing genre boundaries and getting concertgoers dancing with their fresh, versatile take on traditional Mexican music. The group constructs its dynamic sonic framework with explosive vocal harmonies and searing solos rounded out by soaring violin, nimble vihuela, bright trumpets and propulsive guitarron in vibrant songs that honor the heritage of mariachi music while delivering their own unique sound. Boasting a wide and eclectic range of cultural backgrounds from across the globe—including the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Korea, Italy, Colombia and Argentina—founding members Mireya Ramos (vocals/violin) and Shae Fiol (vocals/vihuela) are joined by newer members Julie Acosta on trumpet and Eunice Aparicio on guitarron. Since forming in 2008, Flor de Toloache has been gaining a reputation for passionate performances that connect concertgoers to one another and the tradition of mariachi.

Following the debut of their Grammy - nominated self-titled 2015 album, Flor de Toloache’s follow - up 2017 release Las Caras Lindas was awarded the 2017 Grammy for 'Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album.' Over the course of the last few years, the group has captivated audiences across the nation from such legendary stages as the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn., The Vic in Chicago, Terminal 5 in New York City, 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., First Avenue in Minneapolis and Levitt AMP Sheboygan’s one-of-a-kind M.I.K.E. stage (2016)—and later this summer the outdoor stages at Levitt AMP Ocala (6/22), Levitt AMP Utica (7/30), Levitt AMP St. Johnsbury (8/5) and Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles (8/25) will be added to this growing list! As the opening act of indie-icon Dan Auerbach’s (Black Keys) new band The Arcs, Flor de Toloache has taken their lively mariachi abroad to sold-out audiences in the UK, Germany, Holland, Italy and France, as well as the Coachella Music Festival. Recent projects include collaborations with renowned artists like Chicano Batman, No Te Va Gustar, Luba Mason and Fania Records.
