Symphony cellist Bjorn Ranheim honors the legacy of Pablo Casals, known for his riveting performances, his teaching of students from around the world, and his inspiration of important composers. Hear music from Bach’s Unaccompanied Cello Suites, the traditional Spanish Song of the Bird, and the Cantilena from Golterman’s Cello Concerto. The program also explores music by other great cellist composers throughout time, including the Italian master, Luigi Boccherini.
A complimentary dessert reception follows the concert, giving you an opportunity to meet the artists.
