Documentary Series: Agents of Change
Whispering Truth to Power documents the final year of Thuli Madonsela’s position as South Africa’s Public Protector. A steadfast lawyer of social justice and equality, she is a quiet force, not only in her public position but as a mother and a woman as well. The film reveals her determination to bring justice to ordinary people, as well as challenge corruption by the very people who are entrusted to serve. The film is a revealing study into South Africa’s critical issues today, such as ongoing inequality, racial tensions, land redistribution, and corruption.
In English, Sesotho and Zulu with English subtitles.
Online viewing begins Thursday, February 18, 7:00 pm; Q&A at 9:00 pm.
Films are free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
