The current pandemic has ‘Hit Different’ each of us - including the music we enjoy. Songs that hit us one way before the pandemic now might have a different meaning and feeling. During this performance, Carmen in The Melody Line showcases R&B, Jazz, Pop and Country. She is an outstanding 1st soprano who holds no bars expressing lyrics of passion and love. Whether she is performing Aretha Franklin, Minnie Riperton, Adele, Toni Braxton or the legendary Michael McDonald, Carmen’s performance will ‘hit different.’
Carmen’s band The Melody Line is comprised of Charlie Brown (pianist), Alonzo Jamison (drums) and Jason Collins (bass). Carmen is also one of the lead vocalists in the Fabulous Motown Review under the direction of Steve Schankman.
