BMC's Principal Guest Conductor JoAnn Falletta returns for the first of two concerts this season in a program featuring colorful folk tunes, lyrical melodies, vividly expressive spirit, and the soul of Harlem. Falletta and the orchestra shimmer in works by Enescu and Dvořák, while pianist Lara Downes brings to life Ellington's lush and improvisatory single movement homage to vibrancy, variety, and soulful melancholy.
