Our 34th Season is on the horizon, and we are gearing up for a vibrant summer of music in the beautiful Vail Valley. We remain flexible and optimistic as the season approaches, and we appreciate your patience as we finalize our programming.
Bravo! Vail Music Festival showcases four phenomenal orchestras over the course of the season: Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and New York Philharmonic.
As in summers past, chamber music will play a vital role this year, with programs highlighting both old favorites and contemporary works. The return of free concerts throughout the summer will bring no-cost programs to the community in an approachable way.
ACADEMY OF ST MARTIN IN THE FIELDS
Joshua Bell, violin
DVOŘÁK Violin Concerto in A minor, Op. 53
BEETHOVEN Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55, “Eroica”
Dvořák draws on the striking vitality of Slavic folklore and lyricism for this spirited concerto, perfectly paired with the sublime struggle and transcendence of Beethoven’s "Eroica" Symphony, heralding the Romantic era.
