The 18th Annual Big Lake Half Marathon is returning to Alton, NH for another day of scenic New England running! Join thousands of runners and spectators at New Hampshire’s most scenic road race, where you celebrate your finish with an after-party featuring refreshing Smuttynose craft beer and plenty of food!

The race starts at 8 a.m. near Alton Central School. Please arrive by 6:30 a.m. to ensure you have time to park, check-in, and stretch before the race begins.

Course Info:

The Big Lake Half offers runners a scenic course along winding country roads around beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. Starting on Letter S Road in Alton and finishing in front of ‘Shibley’s at the Pier’ in Alton Bay, this “lollipop” loop course provides spectacular views of forests, quaint cottages, and the White Mountains.

There are five water stops along the course, two of which will also have Gatorade and one will have energy gel! We know that sometimes nature calls at the when it’s least convenient, that’s why we’ve put portable toilets near the corner of Route 11 and Route 11D around Mile 6.

The course is USATF Certified at 13.10938 miles.
