Beginner's Body Weight Strengthening is an introduction to overall strength and conditioning, focusing on functional movements and increasing activity levels to prevent and manage disease.
Join Angela Cook, PTA and Devan Seeley, PTA virtually via Zoom in a small group environment (8 maximum participants) with individualized attention and feedback. Performed live for 30 minute exercise sessions to help meet exercise guidelines. This class is open to PAMF patients and community members.
Required to Participate:
-Ability to get on & off bed independently
-Ability to get in & out of chair independently
-Comfort with virtual supervision
-Familiar with Zoom, specifically how to "Spotlight" or "Pin" a specific video depending on if you are using the internet browser or app.
Restricted from Participation:
-Use of assisted device (cane, walker, etc.)
After registering and prior to the class, an additional email will be sent to you from email@example.com and will include the Zoom access information for the Body Weight Strengthening class.

You should consult your physician or other health care professional before starting this or any other fitness program to determine if it is right for your needs. This is particularly true if you (or your family) have a history of, but not limited to, high blood pressure or heart disease, or if you have ever experienced chest pain when exercising or have experienced chest pain in the past month when not engaged in physical activity, smoke, have high cholesterol, are obese, or have a bone or joint problem that could be made worse by a change in physical activity. Do not start this fitness program if your physician or health care provider advises against it. If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain or shortness of breath at any time while exercising you should stop immediately.
