This is the 3rd seminar in our Be Well with Diabetes program. This seminar is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to cook for someone who has diabetes. Participants will learn what foods are best to purchase and what to avoid. Attendees will learn cooking techniques that work best when preparing food for a person with diabetes as well as how to season food effectively without adding excessive sugar or fat. A small recipe booklet will be provided. Participants will not be required to cook during the class.
The cost of this 2-hour seminar is $240 - however, the cost can be covered by Medicare and most private insurances with a physician referral.
