Our Artists After Hours this month is a Skills Share: Photographing your work/products with your cellphone
If you’re good at capturing high quality, professional looking images of your work with your phone, we need you to show us your secrets! Bring along any equipment you might use (a mini light box, your favorite grippy phone tripod, your go-to backdrop) and your patience. The rest of us can bring a can-do attitude and possibly something we’d like to shoot. We’ll also share examples of imagery to critique and copy. We’ll also show you how to use our giant light box that you’ve probably never noticed in the 3rd floor hallway. It looks like something from the set of Star Trek!
We’re meeting during the day to make use of the best light possible for photos: sunlight! Beverages and snacks always welcomed. Bring some to share.
RSVPs are greatly appreciated but don’t let it stop you from a last minute drop in or bringing friends.
Artists After Hours is a casual mix-and-mingle, show-and-tell gathering of Midcoast creatives.
We can help match up attendees with kindred spirits:
- those struggling to claim the “artist” identity
- those practicing their craft after the kids are asleep/after their day job
- full-time artists laboring in isolation
- creatives new to the area
We’d love to connect with all of you!
