You Say You Want a Revolution: 1960s Art, Design and Culture with Steven Heller. Join award-winning author and designer Steven Heller for an in-depth look at the visual culture of the 60s, when a youth movement seeking to create an egalitarian society free from discrimination emerged in full force. As expressed in the illustration and design of the moment, Americans addressed many controversial issues—from civil rights, the Vietnam War, nuclear proliferation, and the environment to drug use, sexual freedom, and nonconformity.
For 33 years, Steven Heller was art director at The New York Times; the author of many books, he is co-chair of the MFA Designer as Author program at the School of Visual Arts, and writes the Visuals column for The New York Times Book Review.
