Waurika Rattlesnake Festival

The Annual Waurika Rattlesnake Hunt is held in Waurika, Oklahoma. It is always the second weekend in April.

Schedule:

9:00am: WVFD Concession Trailer and Butcher Shop Opens
11:00am: Snake Pit Opens
11:00am - 4:00pm: Carnival Wristbands
12:00pm: Registration for the 1:00pm Guided Snake Hunt at the Registration Office.
1:00pm: Guided Snake Hunt
2:30pm - 3:00pm: Registration for the smallest, longest, and the most rattlers contest.
3:00pm: Rattlesnake King and Queen will be crowned in front of the registration office.

First, Immediately following the crowning will be the drawing for $500.

Then the Individual sacking contest. and last, the measuring for the smallest, longest, and most rattlers contest.
