47th Annual Christmas in the Village

Schedule;

8:30 am - 11:30 am: Breakfast with Santa At the Roscommon High School, 10660 Oakwood Dr., Roscommon.
Sponsored by the PTO.

9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Cookie Walk At Good Shepherd Methodist Church, 149 W Robinson Lake Rd., Roscommon.

10:00 am: Wreath Making Workshop At the Gahagan Nature Preserve, 209 W. Maplehurst.

10:00 am - 2:00 pm: Gingerbread House Contest At Skye High Gymnastics. Contact Made Up North for more information.

10:00 am - 7:00 pm: Festival of Trees For the Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center, in the Village Hall.

10:00 am - 8:00 pm: Christmas Open House Gallimore Boarding House - Cookies & candy for sale and FREE wassail will be served.

10:00 am - 8:00 pm: Cookie Walk At the Butcher’s Wife.

11:00 am - 8:00 pm: Craft Show at CRAF Center Gym
CIV 4 Week Raffle Tickets. Plus: Pre-Order pasties from CIV at the CRAF Center. Pasties will be made Jan 25th. Price $8.00 each or 4 for $28.00.

12:00 pm: Live Nativity
Watch the live Nativity throughout the day on the CRAF center lawn. Performed by the St. Michael Catholic Church Youth Group.

12:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Skye High Gymnastics
Skye High Gymnastics will be open. $10.00 per family to use equipment.

12:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Live Wood Carving Demo
Sawdust and Splinters LIVE carving demo by the new Village Vault.

12:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Book Fair
In the CRAF Center. Sponsored by the Literacy Council.

12:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Silent Auction
Roscommon Elementary School Classes Christmas Tree Silent Auction at Richardson School House.

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Santa Train
Santa Train at the AuSable River Center. For more information, contact Mark Constance at 989-980-9781.

3:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Streets are closed

3:00pm: Reindeer Run
Family Reindeer Run at the AuSable River Center.

3:00pm - 7:00pm: Free Wagon Rides
Start by the Santa House. Corner of Lake and Fifth.

3:00 pm - 8:00 pm: LIVE Reindeer and Alpaca
Stop by and visit the live reindeer and alpaca next to The Butcher's Wife.

Dusk: Luminaries
Luminaries welcome you down 5th and Lake Streets.

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Open House At Village Businesses.

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Free Cider and Donuts By the Chamber Office.

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Petting Zoo with Small Animals At Gardiners Jewelry.

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Free Hot Cocoa and Cider At Fifth Street Market parking lot, by Gaylor Insurance Agency.

4:30 pm until sold out: Lions Club Hot Dogs
At The Bird and The Bear. Cash or canned good donation.

5:45 pm: Electric Light Parade
Starts at Nesters Chevrolet on N. 5th Street, proceeds to traffic light, right on Lake
Street, ends at 1st Street.

Village Christmas Tree Lighting
Following Electric Light Parade on the CRAF Center Lawn.

Visit Santa
After tree lighting, kids can visit with Santa at the Santa House in BC Pizza parking
lot. Bring your camera.

6:30 pm - 10:00 pm: Baby It’s Cold Outside Party
At the AuSable River Center. 21 and older.
Sponsored by Rotary and RARA.

St. Vincent De Paul Donations
Watch for the Rotary Members and their kettles. They are collecting money for
the St. Vincent De Paul food pantry.
