Join us in anticipation as we prepare to host the 5th Annual California Seaweed Festival, October 18, 19 and 20, 2024 in the gorgeous Humboldt Bay communities of Samoa, Arcata, Eureka and Trinidad, California! This year's theme is "Biodiversity and Aquaculture on the North Coast." Follow us on the socials to stay up to date!
Schedule of Events:
At the Wharfinger Building on the Eureka Waterfront
09:30 am - 5 pm: The free, family-friendly California Seaweed Festival
A full day of talks, panel discussions, hands-on activities, cooking demos, music, entertainers, food and other fun stuff, all about seaweed!
11:00 am - 3:00 pm: Bay tours on the Madaket hosted by an expert in seaweeds and aquaculture, will run hourly from the adjacent dock.
11:00 am - 3:00 pm: Tour the Research Vessel Coral Sea on the adjacent dock.
06:00 pm - 9:00 pm: The Sustainable Seafood Soiree, in collaboration with Fed by Blue, and PBS, including screening of a special cut of the PBS docuseries Hope in the Water, panel discussion with some of the makers and stars of the series, and sustainable seafood appetizers and drinks.
