More Parkinson's patients are turning to Alternative Therapies like Yoga to increase their overall quality of life (QoL). Yoga represents a non-pharmacologic approach to PD and research on the benefits of yoga showed improvements in the following areas: Mobility, Balance, Strength, Flexibility, Mood and Sleep. This weekly offering will include yoga postures, breath techniques, and guided visualization to support those who live with PD or other chronic progressive movement disorders. The class will be led by Gina Cox, RYT 500 or Adrienne Ann Ilseman, CYT, who became passionate about the field of yoga theraputics in her advanced 500 hour training through the Healing Yoga Foundation
Class meets on Thursday for 10 weeks in the YPT room. No class November 28th.
