Join Us for ATLAS Support Group - Adapting to Life After Stroke

Mindfulness programs are scientifically proven to help reduce and manage stress and the experience of pain. During this presentation, Colette will talk about how mindfulness can help you to manage a new diagnosis and health condition.

We will discuss and explore the following:

-How the breath can help to ease pain and distress
-Recognizing how tension in the body can make pain feel worse, and how mindfulness  can help you to work with tension
-A chance to try out a brief mindfulness practice with feedback and questions
-Questions you have about mindfulness and it's applications

The ATLAS support group is open to stroke survivors, and family, friends and caregivers of stroke survivors.
