Welcome to the official site for New Mexico’s premiere 24-hour mountain bike race! 24 Hours in the Enchanted Forest provides everything that you want from a 24 Hour Race. We have an amazing course with epic singletrack winding through meadows, pines and aspens. Seriously, the Zuni Mountains outside of Gallup, NM are a great place to ride. We have an awesome venue in the ponderosa pines with plenty of space to hang out with friends and family and hang your hammock. And, Zia Rides creates a great party atmosphere with vendors, movies, food, kids activities, and fun for everyone.

24 Hours in the Enchanted Forest is a relay, and you can be as fast or as laid back as you want to be. We won’t judge, and everyone is welcome. Whether you are going for the podium or going for the party, we guarantee that you will have a great time. There are options for solos, duos, teams, and a corporate category for teams of up to 10. We also have the Enchantedland category for younger racers and families on a shorter lap. So, come join us for 24 Hours in the Enchanted Forest – an amazing weekend of camping, riding, and fun!

Additionally, 24 Hours in the Enchanted Forest is first race of the year in the N24 – National 24 Hour Series Championship for Solo Racers. We want to award the best of the best – our solo racers – for being awesome! Visit http://n24series.com/index.php/info/ for more details. Course Description

The course will likely be the same in 2018, but with the addition of new trails in the Zuni Mountain Trail Project, we may switch things up.

The course runs counter-clockwise from the McGaffey Campground, and takes riders down the really fun and fast Y2K Trail that we used to have you ride up at the end of the lap. Once we hit the intersection with Quaking Aspen trail, the course will now head up Quaking Aspen all the way to Sheet Rock Tank. From Sheet Rock Tank, we head straight on Lost Lake/Plush Trail. From here, we take the really fun Plush and Torreon Trails all the way down to the dirt road across from the McGaffey Campground. The descent down Plush and Torreon is fast and flowy with some rocky sections to keep you on your toes. The course then skirts around the campground on Strawberry Canyon Trail all the way back to the transition area. This course mostly descends for the last 4-5 miles, and it’s fun!

24 and 12 Hour Course Specs:
13.1 miles
Starting Elevation 7800′
Highest Elevation 8300′
Lowest Elevation 7620′
Total Climbing: 1000′

MTB Project Link – where you can download GPX File – course is slightly different – will be adding new file ASAP.

Strava file – Enchanted Course – course is slightly different – will be adding new file ASAP

Enchantedland Course:

The course will follow the same trails as the main course in and out of the venue. However, the Enchantedland course will split at Y2K and go straight across to Turkey’s Nest Trail. The course will then take Turkey’s Nest to Lower Plush Trail. The course will then turn left on the dirt road and take it back toward the main highway. Before reaching the main highway, the course will turn onto another dirt road. This will take the course back to where the main course crosses the road at the fence line across from the campground. See the course map above.

Enchantedland Course Specs:

7.2 miles
Starting Elevation 7800′
Highest Elevation 8000′
Lowest Elevation 7800′
Total Climbing: 400′
