Want to cultivate a green thumb? AARP in San Antonio and Palo Alto College are teaming to host a three-part gardening workshop series led by Rose Flores.

Planting Vegetable Gardens
Growing your own food can be easy! Rose will demonstrate planting seeds and transplants as well as run through a short list of springtime garden chores. She will also talk about tools to make gardening easier and shortcuts for a low-maintenance garden.

Composting: How and Why?
Composting is an easy and great way to put food scraps and garden waste to good use! Rose will explain why it's good for your garden and how the Palo Alto campus composts. She'll also walk through how to start a small compost pile that won't break your back or your gardening piggy bank!
