Wright Brothers – First Flight Part II
In this lecture, we’ll explore the Wright Brothers’ successful first flight in 1903, the years after the patent was granted, the death of the brothers and some interesting tidbits (“the rest of the story”) about the two brothers.
Meet our Guest Speaker: Christian Godart
Christian Godart has loved aviation his whole life. He first flew at the age of 17 years old, and decided to pursue an aviation degree following high school. After college, life took him in another direction, but he always maintained his love of everything airplanes, and aviation in general. He is retired from Fairfax County Public Schools where he worked as a Technology Specialist for over 20 years. Christian enjoys passing on his love of aviation to others by volunteering at the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia and a National Park Volunteer at the Wright Brothers National Memorial Park in Kitty Hawk, NC.
