In honor of National Native American History Month, join Eastern Band of Cherokee oral historians to explore the values of Cherokee Society as reflected in traditional stories and everyday life. This series will share with the audience a way of life that has endured for thousands of years, ensuring survival and a quality life, even in divisive times.
In session three, we will explore these values:
- Educating the Children: Providing values-oriented education and recreation, being strong role models.
- Sense of Humor: Lightening the pressure in serious situations to help make good decisions when facing adversity.
Join us to explore these values through oral history and storytelling.
