We’re at war with scammers. Time to fight back! Join AARP New Hampshire for Scam Jam 2025 on September 9 (1-4 pm) at the NH Institute of Politics (5 St. Anselm Drive, Manchester). Criminals just keep getting more savvy. Scam Jam is all about arming you with the tools you need to fight fraud so you and your loved ones can stay safe.
Scam Jam 2025 will feature:
Keynote Speaker Doug Shadel will talk about The Scammer with a Thousand Faces: How to detect and avoid scams in the age of AI. Shadel is an AARP Fraud Watch Network national speaker. He’s the former fraud investigator and special assistant attorney general with the Washington State Attorney General’s office. Shadel has collaborated on numerous educational videos and academic studies and co-authored five books about fraud. He also co-authored the 2021 AARP Fraud Frontier Report, one of the largest studies AARP has ever done on consumer fraud. Shadel is currently managing director of Fraud Prevention Strategies, LLC, a Seattle-based consulting firm.
