(Re) Legalizing Housing
As they age, North Dakotans want to remain in their longtime homes or find a safe and affordable home in their community that will allow them to age independently. They also want to live in walkable neighborhoods with a mix of housing and transportation options near jobs, schools, shopping, entertainment, and parks.
Missing Middle Housing – a set of residential building types that bridge single-family houses and large apartment buildings – can meet all those needs. Unfortunately, outdated planning and zoning laws often prevent the creation of Missing Middle Housing.
