Give the nation’s fastest-growing sport a go and get a free health screening.
About the Event
Always wanted to give pickleball a try, but know nothing about how to play? No problem! Join AARP DC and the DC Pickleball Team to learn how to dink, drive and rally—with a focus on beginners—in the nation’s fastest-growing sport. No equipment needed.
At the same time, take charge of your health and “know your numbers” with the help of free health screenings from Whitman-Walker Health and Howard University. Join us at the Washington Tennis Education Foundation on Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (The Sunday session has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances). Light snacks and water will be provided. Participants will also receive giveaways and have a chance to win raffles each day. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
This is a free event but capacity is limited, so don't delay—register below to reserve your spot! The health screenings are for adults, aged 18 and older. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
