AARP Eye Center
Movies That Matter Series kicks off with "Home of the Brave."
Join AARP for the Movies That Matter Series on March 25 at 5 p.m. at the Smullin Health Education Center in Medford, OR.
You're invited to a free screening of Home of the Brave, a documentary film that honors the memory of Viola Liuzzo, the only white woman murdered in the civil rights movement.
Told through the eyes of her children, the film follows the ongoing struggle of an American family to survive the consequences of their mother's heroism and the mystery behind her killing.
After the film, Mary Liuzzo Lilleboe, Viola's eldest daughter, will participate in a discussion. This event is free, but registration is required. Don't miss this powerful and moving event.
Please note registration is a two-part process: If you have never attended an AARP event, you must first create an aarp.org account, then register for the event. If you already have an account, just register for the event. This helps us safeguard your personal information.
