We’ll discuss what makes LBD so unique and misunderstood.
About the Event
Your caregiving journey can be challenging in all kinds of ways. That’s why AARP Virginia and Insight Memory Care Center are delighted to invite you to Care Partner Class: Managing Lewy Body Dementia (LBD).
LBD is the second-most common cause of progressive dementia after Alzheimer's disease (AD) but varies greatly from AD in many ways. The management of LBD is complex and is best addressed by a team of health professionals. Occupational therapist Julia Wood, the director of professional and community education at Lewy Body Dementia Association, will explain what makes LBD so unique, misunderstood, and challenging to diagnose and treat.
This class, not an AARP event, will be held in-person in Fairfax, Virginia, and online for virtual viewers. Those attending virtually will be able to ask questions via the chat feature.
How to Join
You will be given the opportunity to select virtual or in-person attendance when you register here with the Insight Memory Care Center and will receive an email with a link to join the conversation before the event.
