Join this virtual social gathering also known as “LGBT Quesdays” each month to mingle and share with LGBTQ-plus people and allies of all ages and backgrounds.

About the Event

In collaboration with The Generations Project, AARP Oregon presents a new monthly virtual intergenerational social gathering designed to connect people within the LGBTQ+ community and allies, using fun writing and discussion prompts. Topics will vary from the light and humorous to the more personal, allowing participants to find a subject they relate to and find easy to write or talk about. Between each short writing period, the group shares and engages in organic conversation, guided by facilitators from The Generation Project, which cultivates intergenerational community and preserves LGBTQ+ history through oral story sharing. The organization creates spaces and facilitates programs that foster connection and empathy across all ages, classes, and sexual and gender identities.

Special guest Debra Porta, Executive Director, Pride Northwest will share a brief story that will guide the writing and conversation.

No writing experience or time commitment is necessary; each session stands alone. So come to as many as you'd like! You will need to register separately for each session you are interested in attending.

Please note that you must be signed in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register for virtual events. AARP membership is not required to create an account.

Please do not opt out of event-related email, as you will be emailed a link to join the class prior to the event.
