About the Event
Join AARP California and Nature Unplugged for an in-person nature outing where we’ll focus on the mental and physical health benefits of movement and play in nature. This will include outdoor games, guided hiking, birding, gentle yoga, and other activities to help us bring a spirit of play to our time in nature. This beginner’s level hike will be approximately 2-3 miles long on mostly flat, dirt trails.
Recommended items to bring:
· Weather appropriate clothing/shoes
· Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm with SPF)
· Water (1 liter)
· Snacks (optional)
· Backpack (optional)
Check in begins at 8:30am, outing begins promptly at 9am.
***An online planning session for this event is scheduled for July 31 at noon. This session is recommended for all participants to attend but is not mandatory. You can sign up HERE.
