About the Event
Downtown San Jose is home to more than 100 murals that highlight the heritage and diversity of the city. This walking tour of downtown San Jose will amplify the creative environment in San Jose by offering participants a deeper understanding of the city’s artistic vibrancy and the unique stories behind each mural facilitated by Local Color along Santa Clara Street. Please note that this activity requires light walking. Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
Local Color is a woman-powered, San Jose-based 501.c.3 organization with the mission to build equitable pathways for artists to thrive.This event is part of AARP California’s Let’s Take it Outside™ program, which provides participants with an opportunity to learn about and explore various outdoor public places and spaces throughout the state.
