AARP Kansas City, in collaboration with University of Missouri at Kansas City’s School of Medicine, is pleased to offer Walk with a Doc. Walk with a Doc is a series of free monthly walks that start with a brief health discussion, followed by a physician-led walk. This program is a great opportunity to take a walk in Swope Park (we walk inside when it's raining, snowing or extremely hot or cold) while learning about relevant health topics.
Participants walk at their own pace, engage in a discussion on the featured health topic while walking, and are encouraged to ask questions during the discussion. Walks are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month (next walk is November 16th). Each session will be about an hour and begin in the parking lot of Southeast Community Center at 4201 E. 63rd Street, Kansas City, Missouri at 9:00 am. In case of inclement or extreme hot weather, the Walk with a Doc will be indoors on the Southeast Community Center walking track.
All levels of fitness and mobility and ages are welcome. Click below to register.
