This free, in-person series helps adults 50+ recognize and avoid common scams. Led by Sheridan Police Officer Liz Shafer. Open to the public, no AARP or YMCA membership required.
Scams continue to change, and staying informed is one of the best ways to stay protected. This free, in-person educational series, led by AARP Fraud Fighter & Sheridan Police Officer Liz Shafer, at the Sheridan County YMCA, focuses on recognizing and avoiding today’s most common scams. Each session covers a specific topic and offers clear, practical tips to help you spot warning signs, protect your money, and safeguard personal information. Sessions are held at the YMCA in Sheridan, are open to the public, and no AARP or YMCA membership is required. Refreshments will be provided.
Sessions - register for as many as you want, we'll send reminders ahead of each session. Each will be held in the large conference room at the YMCA to the left of the service desk.
