This multimedia event will explore Alexander Hamilton’s life and the musical’s appeal.
About the Event
Alexander Hamilton has always been known as a central player in America’s early history, but the smash Broadway musical has focused new attention on this fascinating individual. This multimedia presentation draws on both Alexander Hamilton’s biography and his depiction on stage to examine his accomplishments, discuss his relationship with Aaron Burr, and reflect on the appeal of the musical.
Our speaker, Dan Sherman, is a retired Ph.D. economist who has presented talks on musical theatre composers and lyricists to many lifelong learning groups around the Washington D.C. area. This online program is offered by the Lifetime Learning Institute of Northern Virginia, which is affiliated with Northern Virginia Community College.
