This year marks the 90th anniversary of Social Security— a cornerstone of financial security in America. For nine decades, it has kept hundreds of millions of Americans out of poverty and given families across the country peace of mind and dignity in retirement.
At AARP, we’re honoring this milestone by celebrating the success of Social Security as a lifeline to millions of Americans. This 90th Anniversary isn’t just a celebration – it’s a time for reflection and to look towards the future. Right now, Social Security is still doing what it was built to do. It’s up to us to make sure it’s there for the next 90 years--because AARP will never stop fighting to protect and strengthen the Social Security we’ve earned.
Stop by throughout the evening at the AARP Rhode Island tent - Food Truck Sunsets - Saturday, August 16th from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Safe Harbor NE Boatworks, Portsmouth, and “Get the Scoop on Social Security” to ensure that it is there for generations to come.
