From 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time
As an African American are you interested in tracing your genealogy? Then register to learn from two knowledgeable African American genealogy educators who will help you learn how to trace your family tree using records you may not think of, such as overcoming what’s known as the 1870 Brick Wall. The presentation will help you understand what information you should look for and where to find the information. You’ll receive resources to help you on your journey to discover your roots, and a chance to ask questions live. AARP will share resources to help you care for your family members.
The online session on Tuesday, September 27 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is free. Registration is required and your meeting link via email a few hours before the event. Attend to receive a copy of The Family Tree Toolkit: A Comprehensive Guide to Uncovering Your Ancestry and Researching Genealogy by Kenyatta D. Berry, while supplies last.
