From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time
This event is full.
Join a discussion on how to build social connections you and your loved ones need to thrive.
About the Event
Many people enjoy their own company without feeling lonely, but nearly 1 in 4 older adults is affected by social isolation, lacking connection with others and emotional support. Studies have found that isolation and loneliness are worse for health than obesity, and that the health risks of prolonged social isolation are equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day. This will be a meaningful conversation about the risks of social isolation and loneliness and steps you can take to help loved ones - and yourself - build connections.
