In an emergency, what things would you wish you had?
About the Event
Please join us to learn more about emergency preparedness kits at a free workshop at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center.
An emergency preparedness kit is a collection of supplies, documents, and information to help you, and your family get through an emergency. A “go bag” is a simplified emergency kit that you can take with you if you need to evacuate your home. Community preparedness begins with individual preparedness.
Participants in this workshop will begin putting together their own "go bags" and will be provided some limited supplies to do so. This workshop is part of a larger effort to get more prepared as a community for the next disaster.
This workshop is sponsored by the Medical Reserve Corps, AARP Vermont, Montpelier Disaster Recovery Network (MoDRN), the Montpelier Commission for Recovery and Resilience, and the Montpelier Senior Activity Center.
