Must you or a loved one monitor blood sugar? In this class, Joe Bean, M.D., instructor in anatomy and physiology at Northern Virginia Community College, will explore the story of diabetes, one of our most common modern maladies.

- How blood glucose imbalances affect the body
- Why diabetes is more common as we age
- How this disease can be successfully managed
