AARP Hearing Center
Knowledge is your best defense against fraud! Join our event to learn how to protect yourself from scams.
About the Event
Join AARP Vermont for an informative event on fraud prevention and awareness.
Did you know that every 2 seconds someone’s identity is stolen? People over 50 are especially vulnerable, making up more than half of all fraud victims. From bogus investment deals and the Grandparent Scam to email ploys, lottery scams, and the latest ID theft schemes, con artists are always finding new ways to steal your money. Staying up to date is key to protecting yourself and your loved ones.
VT Attorney General Charity Clark will kick things off with a keynote presentation on current fraud issues. Our in-house volunteer expert, Elliott Greenblott, will share valuable insights.
The afternoon will conclude with an interactive trivia game where you can test out the new skills you learned.
Refreshments provided, and RSVP is required.
