AARP Rhode Island’s “Cooking Around the World” series continues the celebration of heritage through food! In honor of International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples on August 9, we’re highlighting healthy dinner ideas with traditional ingredients in a delicious, hands-on cooking experience.
Join Chef Mary Weaver, owner of Newport Cooks, as she prepares two tasty, healthy recipes: “You Make It Up” Corn Salad and Farro Risotto with Butternut Squash and Sage. Both dishes feature staple ingredients rooted in Native American culinary traditions.
